Hi All,

Could someone please explain to me if CHDK is exactly what I need. I am looking to make an interface to various cameras which will not only control the cameras functions but also show a live 'stream' of the camera image before taking the picture via a laptop or similar.

Does CHDK transmit the image live, or only as RAW images once taken?

At the moment CHDK doesn't change anything to the pc-cam interface(, exept the remote trigger.)

There is some Canon-SDK, but here my knowledge ends, I don't know if it supports live streaming.
I suppose that the Cameras which don't support live stream natively can't send it.
