Thank you reyalp :)

I haven't narrowed it down yet but I am now down to 1 second or less for the black screen.

I had histogram turned on and that seems to be the big killer.  I tried turning on and off Raw; Exceptions; Disable raw@timer but it seems to make no difference.

Also if I try intervalometer on something darker, the black screen will stay on longer, but I assume it's because it is processing the image :)

@cf2012
I did notice that turning on RAW doesn't seem to do anything unless you also turn on DNG, there wasn't a RAW file saved without the DNG setting on as well, then the black screen stays on for 6 seconds for me.

I've turned off raw and turned off DNG.  Looking at the time displayed on the camera, with intervalometer set to 1, I'm getting a photo interval of just over 2 seconds, with bright natural light.  The black screen I'm fairly sure is less than 1 second now.

Thank you to everyone who's worked on CHDK.  :)

Now to explore what else I can do with CHDK :)

Ok,
Here you have 100c version is a blind test so maybe wont work at all,
asm1989-sx260hs-100c-beta4.zip

if you have 100b version dont use this!!!!

Also the full sources are included for someone with a real 100c can follow on.

Thanks, it seems to work. At least it loads and I can access all the CHDK menus. I'll try actually using it over the weekend.

Do we yet have a 'Does' & 'Does Not' work List for the sx260 port?

Many thanks to asm1989 & all other contributors to the port, I suspect not yet completely finished but working well so far!

THANKS! ALL!

I haven't spent much time with it yet, but I did try using ISO Override and found something worth mentioning (for CHDK Beta4 with firmware 100c). The feature does work, but the actual ISO used doesn't match the value selected.

For example, I selected ISO 400 (4 with a Value Factor of 100). ISO 400 was shown on the display, but after taking a picture it seems that ISO 640 was actually used. When ISO 800 was selected, the actual value used was 1250.

I don't know whether this bug is specific to the SX260 or is seen on other models too.
