Of course, I had to test the video length limit with exFAT, and sure enough, it's still limited to 4GB file size. Other than having to use firmware update, exFAT seems to work the same. I can even write protect an exFAT card and still get to the firmware update menu and start CHDK. Then it ignores the write protect.

Found a bug, though.  If I check "Video without time limit" and then press the red video record button on the back of the camera to take a video, it crashes. I can change any other video parameter and take videos fine.

Where's the remote option?

Is it normal for CHDK to take 5-6 seconds to finish loading after selecting "OK" for "Update firmware version"?

My last camera with CHDK was Canon SX110 and CHDK seemed to load immediately.  With the SX260 its taking about 6 seconds.

Where's the remote option?
It depends on which version you are using -  1.0.0   1.1.0  1.2.0 ?

I downloaded the one from rudi's post above: sx260_100b.  The file name has 1.2.0 in it.

I downloaded the one from rudi's post above: sx260_100b.  The file name has 1.2.0 in it.
So from the main CHDK menu,  select  CHDK Settings  and from the CHDK Settings menu select Remote Parameters.

Thanks.  Found it.  It was in a different location than the CHDK I had for the Canon SX110.

Depending on how old the version on you SX110 is, that will not be the only change : http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/USB_Remote

Hi, I got your SX260 v1.2.0 C 2054 port (from post at Aug 23rd) working great on my SX240 with firmware 1.0.0 C .
Thank you very very much for your work.
Please look into the "SX240 HS porting thread" - there I describe how I got things working.

best greetings -Tom-

I'm not sure if this is my Lua syntax error, or a bug in CHDK or the port.

print(get_hyp_dist())

:43: attempt to call global 'get_hyp_dist' (a nil value)
PRESS SHUTTER TO CLOSE
*** INTERRUPTED ***

This worked in uBasic:
print(get_hyp_dist)

Has anyone used get_hyp_dist() in Lua?
