The autobuild download is at 2642, today, and yesterday I downloaded and installed 2643.  Was 2643 pulled and should I redownload 2642 and get rid of 2643?

I'm sorry, It must have been my computer, because the autobuild now says 2643 and the date given is the same date as my downloaded file. Aotobuild I was looking at before was the developmental one.   :o

Hello.. I have a problem with remote control, when I use it with the "Enable Synch" option checked, the camera doesn't work, the screen goes black and i have to reboot the camera.. Is this a bug? Or maybe i'm doing something wrong..

I'd need a little more info to make an intelligent guess.

When does the camera screen go black?  When you select "Enable Synch"?  Or when you take a shot with the "Enable Synch" menu item selected?

Also,  it looks like different firmware versions of CHDK implement this function differently. Which firmware version do you have?

@ CHDK developers

I have no knowledge of the firmware for this camera but if you comment-out "BL      shooting_expo_iso_override\n" in capt_seq.c does that fix the problem ?

I changed capt_seq.c for the 1.01A to be the same as the 1.00B  ( rather than 1.00C)

This post talks about the code there :  http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=7889.msg88724#msg88724
However the change suggested in the code is not implemented in what's in the SVN right now for the 1.00b - only for the 1.00c & 1.01a.  Very confusing.

Try this and see if it fixes the problem ?

Re: SX260 HS Porting Thread - testing USB remote sync

I contacted nafraf about my post (the one above this) and he is not sure about the status of that patch either.

I'd like to ask you  sx260 users to test USB remote sync and report results here (along with your firmware version).   You don't even need a USB remote switch unit - just Enable Remote [ * ] with Switch Type [ OnePush ], Control Mode [ Normal ] and Enable Sync [ * ] set.   Exit <ALT> . put the camera in shooting mode, plug your camera into your PC with a USB cable and then pull the cable out.    If sync is working,  you should get a picture taken.  You can further test by setting  Sync Delay [ 20000 ] and observing if the shot is delayed by 2 second when you unplug the USB cable.

Of course,  if the camera crashes that would be very interesting to know so please report here.

TIA

My firmware version is also 1.01a, CHDK version 2651 and my camera crashes also, but it happens when i take the cable out.  I also enabled and disabled script autostart, but had no script loaded.  When I first plug in the cable, there is some activity, but no picture taken.

I tried again, with the CHDK version you supplied (2647) and the same thing happened, activity when plugging in, then crash when disconnecting.
