Yup dude read that already

I believe I cannot use the Firmware Update Method as ps.fi2 or ps.fir file isnt there
So I moved to Bootable SD Card Method

Followed "For cameras released after 2010" guide upto step 5. Got stuck on "6. Start CHDK manually by selecting the Firmware Update option in the Canon menus." The option wasn't there  :o

EDIT Did "Other methods for preparation a Bootable SD cardEdit
Windows Method #1: HxD GUI (for cameras released after 2010)"

I just updated the documentation on the wiki for the benefit of people trying to install CHDK using a pre-alpha version still under development (one without a ps.fi2 file).

CHDK for sx240hs 100a under development.  mykbd_task enabled.  capt_seq.c ported and enabled.
Please test if keyboard and RAW generation works.

I am new to CHDK hence dont know much. Dont know how to test keyboard but RAW is working  8) :D :D :D

I m getting the "splash screen" at start up, then got time, temperature, memory card's capacity and battery indicators. But cant do much as I need to have the card locked in order to work... :P

Lock mechanism is only a software mechanism, even with locked card you will be able to use your cam and take pictures.

Tested and working :RAW, Histogram, Bracketing

Set ISO override to 50 but shot taken at ISO 80... Will test other things and report

I just tested the sx240hs-100a-1.2.0-prealpha-r1 and is working.
RAW, Histogram, Video

more are coming!

Aperture override woks. Min Aperture is now f/11
Shutter override works too
ISO override works : Max ISO is now 20000, Min is 80
Played snake. That works too

I was playing around with chdk and now the lcd of my camera barely functions anymore...its mostly dark...dark at 95%, I can see just a little bit and it seems like 8bit dark images on LCD
