Happy to report that the Photoshop lens profile for the sx240 posted by Bobm works for my sx260. It goes both ways!

I put it here, and restarted Lightroom, and it appeared as a lens option in Develop:

C:\User\(User Name)\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw\LensProfiles\

I don't think we want to go there. If we only used *nix platforms, symbolic links would be ok...

I have found the links about the RAW files too and how the P&S manufacturers "cheat" with lens and chips, but thank you waterwingz for posting them  :). As I thought, there is heavy in camera work on the files.

Today I got some motion detection scripts working fine - CHDK seems to be much better than I thought - at first I only wanted the RAW files - but now ... :D :D

I have absolutely no idea about CHDK firmware programming (I think you already expected this  ;) ).
For me all works fine as it is now, but thank you all for your work. -Tom-

A new prealpha version  for 100a firmware. Thanks to testers.

* Video quality control is working.
* Video time limit was ported, but it was not tested. If any one could test, please send me a PM.
* RAW seems to be working, but if problems detected, please report describing test conditions.

* Zebra is not working.

If some other problem detected, please report.

UPDATE
* RAW does not work in AUTO mode

For me raw works in manual mode but not in auto mode

Can anyone test video time limit override?  I have a 16gb card in my phone but I don't want to format it.

In Auto mode on the dial, DNG files are saved but are corrupted (see example below). The files are good in other modes on the dial (P, Live)

Zebra works for me, both over and under.

Thanks @nafraf for coming up with another release...i want to test it but i dont have the cam with me  right now...earlier i tested that the live histogram was not working in any mode...can someone check whether it is working in this release?...

wondering whether 1.00A of SX260 will also work same for SX240 as well?...

Probably yes. But there is no firmware dump of sx260 1.00a to confirm that.
For these models, firmware dumps available at box.net/chdk are:
sx240hs: 1.00a, 1.00c
sx260hs: 1.00b, 1.00c
