video/stills loop advice

Took attached  photo last week with CHDK from 25 to 30 km high! with IXUS 70

using simple basic script

 :shoot
sleep t
goto "shot"

I am planning another balloon (for fun) using a better IXUS camera (Ixus are light so go high with balloon.)

IXUS 220 HS

I want to write a simple BASIC script that does following:

.....

12 stills with 5 second gap (1 min)

then 5 mins of video (HD quality)

.....

and repeat above for ever (till battery runs out)

Can anyone advise? Is it poss on the IXUS 220 HS?

Grateful for any help with this script and new to posting on forum - so hope I've put this question in correct place!

Andrew

I assume this is not your actual script as it clearly will not work as posted here.

FYI .. there is a search function on this forum that will help you find things.  For example,  if I search the last two years of postings for "balloon movie script",  here's the first hit :

Its an SDM script so you need to convert the "shoot_movie_for" function to the CHDK equivalent generic code.

UPDATE : here's a thread with a LUA version : http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=6891

SDM has a script for an entire stratospheric balloon flight that runs 'out-of-the-box'.

Nothing more to do, just press the shutter button, assemble your rig and remove the lens cap to allow recording to begin :-

Shouldn't be any specific limit. There's limits on individual movie lengths time and size. If the camera shut down, I would guess battery. Note that if the battery gets too cold, the useable capacity is greatly reduced.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

Nice project and video.

[offtopic]
Youtube blocked the video for German users because the sound (Mozart, anno 1756 - 1791) is copyright protected.  It's a shame. F$$k the GEMA.

Thanks. But displaying the video was not the problem. Every non German proxy helps. It's more a political problem. We pay for every data medium and printer a copyright tax, but the Germans are the only ones who are not allowed to watch youtube videos with GEMA content.
