Hello,
For un upcoming trip i plan to take some time lapse recording (from the car).
My current camera (S3IS) is not suited for the job.
Can somebody suggest/advise another inexpensive Canon camera for this job?
Camera must be SDHC capable and also have an external power plug.

This mightn't be the best board for such a question but the a495 is probably the camera you're looking for.

That would have been my suggestion too.  Its recently discontinued (for the A800) so you will have to shop around online to find one though.

Not essential, I power my S95 via a DC/DC converter plugged into the car's cigar lighter and into a dummy battery in the camera.
