Hello everyone . I am using the canon digitial ixus 110IS . I want to upgrade my firmware to control the shutter speed .
CHDK does not upgrade your camera's firmware. It loads into camera memory to provide additional functionality without changing anything in the camera.
I have downloaded a new version of firmware ( http://www.box.com/chdk/1/55272271#/chdk/9/55272271 ) in this site . And then i don't know how to install the newversion .
The file you downloaded cannot be used to change the firmware on your camera. It is simply a dump of another cameras firmware used by developers as a reference while working on CHDK for that camera. Information on downloading CHDK can be found here :

The firmware update menu item only appears if you have a valid ps.fi2 file in the root of your SD card and you started the camera using the playback button rather than the On/Off button.
