I just saw an interesting idea on this blog post: http://digital-photography-school.com/introduction-to-night-photography?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+DigitalPhotographySchool+%28Digital+Photography+School%29.

Basically the idea is to zoom while taking a photo, for instance, as a way of light-painting at night. I just tried and as expected, the camera will not by default let me zoom while its taking a long exposure photo. Is there a way to do that using the chdk? Like, a way to make the zoom button work while taking a shot, or a script that zooms automatically while taking a shot?

I use the chdk on my SX230 and SD1100 cameras, and I installed them using a Macbook, currently running 10.6.8.
