When I set it to infinite, then leave CHDK, take a picture, come back to CHDK, parameter has changed.

Is there anyway to enforce it to infinite and stay there ?

Thank you

Are you tried disabling "Clear override values@start" in "Extra photo operations"

At the bottom of the Enhanced Photo Operations menu,  there is a menu choice that says Disable Overrides on Startup.

You probably want to disable that.

If that doesn't work,  what value are you setting the Override Subj. Dist. setting to?  And what value does that change to when you exit & reenter <ALT>?
