Nerfed Camera after CHDK 'firmware update'

Nerfed Camera after CHDK 'firmware update'

I just tried installing CHDK onto my Ixus 120 and after selecting the firmware update option the screen went black and the camera now doesn't function at all, not even turning on to let me know something is wrong.

Is there a way to salvage my camera from this point? A factory reset key combo or anything else so I can put the original firmware back in place?

Glad to be of service.  How did you decide which firmware version of CHDK to load ?  Using the wrong firmware version is the usual cause of the problem you reported.

Well... I have the Ixus 120IS, I figured that's the same as the Ixus 120. I was probably wrong, the version I chose from there was 1.0 just to be safe... Again I was probably wrong in that assessment too

Same camera  but there are 5 different firmware versions.  You need to read this :
