Hi there. I'm sorry if this question has appeared before,
I am trying to install the CHDK onto my Powershot G12. I have gone through the process of formatting my SD card through Cardtricks.
 I then put the corresponding version of my CHDK firmware to the one that is on my camera.
When I turn the camera on, the red CHDK logo appears signifying that my camera is reading it.
I get to the update firm update onto my menu. When I click it, i get the 1.0.0.0 ---> 1.1.0.0 menu.
Pressing ok resets the camera with no update. (i check this by using the func + display command.

Where have I gone wrong and how can I fix the problem.

That's correct, because CHDK isn't a real firmware update but loadable with the firmware update function (after a restart CHDK is also "unloaded" and you need to "re update" the firmware or make CHDK auto bootable). If you want to test if CHDK is loaded press the ALT-mode button (Print?).

I'm not getting the blue screen or any of the functionality though. If there is a title screen it would suggest that it is loaded surely.

ALT mode button? Could you explain a little further?
I'm sorry if these are absolutely basic questions!

Press the Print button - I believe it has a blue LED inside it on the G12 ?
