Hi,

Another newbie question.  I am trying to add items to the user menu. I set User Menu Enable to Edit, and then try to add a menu item using the +/- button, but it doesn't work. Instead, I just move up to the menu item above.  I think the +/- button (which is on the wheel just above Func. Set) is not the same +/- button referred to in the manual.  I'm confused, please help!  Thanks.

Did you look at this ?  http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/User_menu

"Now by selecting any menu item on any of the menus and pressing the ERASE button (or HALF SHOOT) you will be adding the selected item to the "User menu" (again nothing will ‘appear’ to have changed)."

What manual did you see the +/- instructions in ?

Thanks once again, this works!  I guess I was looking in the wrong place:  http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/CHDK_User_Manual .  In the section User Menu - User Menu Enable - Edit:
    To copy other menu-items to build your custom User Menu (Up to 10 entries)... Still in OSD parameters, select User Menu Enable [ Edit], now browse to any menu and select the item you want to add to the User Menu, then press +/- button or the equivalent button on the camera. The item has now been added to your User Menu.

Clearly this description is different, and the procedure given in CHDK_User_Manual does not work for me.

It also does not match what's in the source code.  Fixed now.
