This is my first topic...  :P
...so because I'm newbie and I didn't find nothing about following question.... I want to ask you if it's normal to obtain these type of photo (?).

- First photo is obtained from original DNG by chdk on my Canon SX10IS (ISO80 & 1s exposure),
- Second photo is only zoom of the first.

Is this correct result?
Are the coloured pixels noise?

How does the original jpeg look like, compared to theese? Can you upload a dng that we can look at? Or maybe even jpeg,
not touched by for example picasa, stright from the cam.

Hi Hotvedt,

Original Jpeg (automatically created by chdk while create DNG) is completely black.. without coulored pixel.
So it is completely different compared to picture 1.

The picture 1 is posted in jpg (original is in DNG format but i use JPG only to reduce the 15MB original size!)

Then i think the program you use for konverting/opening your dng's is bumping up the exposure automatically.
If i do the same with my cam, open the file in photoshop and its raw-plugin, it looks black, but if i press the "auto" button, then the result looks very much like yours.

I will check if the program bump up the exposure. :D :D

..... after some testing...  :blink:

The original DNG seems not increase in exposure.

I thought that your raw-converter maybe did some processing because of the image being very dark.

Because I'm not conviced for previous result.. ;) ;) ...I decide to repeat some test.
The attached image is the result (JPG picture is obtained directly from original DNG). In this case there is not coulored pixel in black zone. :D :D
