autostart script?

Sorry if this is an FAQ, I tried to search the forum, but didn't find an answer.

I have CHDK booting automatically and running on my camera. I want to automatically that the interval script on power on. Is there a way to do that?

thanks,
B.

I do not use CHDK but in the Script menu or elsewhere there will be a checkbox to enable script Autostart on booting.

Thanks for posting this question.  I didn't really look at that option and realize what it did!

the answer solves half of my problem.

When I turn on the camera now, CHDK boots and interval.bas is started, but the camera is in play mode. Is there a way to start up the camera and it to be directly in 'taking picture' mode?

I have a Powershot A480.

thanks,
B.

At the start of your script half-press the shutter.

e.g.

press "shoot_half"
sleep 1000
release "shoot_half"

On most CHDK ports holding the power button for ~1 second starts the camera directly in record mode...
