Move lens shift to the left. Take a photo. Move to the right. Take photo.
I have tried it with the S95.
It does not produce enough lens shift for normal photography.
It will give a stereo effect if the subject is very close, like a few cm.
Canon do make a professional camcorder that does provide sufficient shift.
It means that with two (of these expensive camcorders) you can set the stereo window at a few metres even though the camera's optical axes remain parallel.
That means there is no keystone distortion.
