Question about HDR Script that comes with CHDK

Hello everyone!

I just started playing with CHDK today and at one point I tried out the HDR script that comes with CHDK (ie. I didn't add any other script). The first time (actually, first TWO times) I tried it gave me JUST ONE hdr image as a result. Then I started experimenting with other scripts (unrelated to HDR). And now when I come back to the HDR script, it always outputs three separate images of different exposure each time I shoot. What did I do to change this? I tried everything but I can't make it to output only one image again...

Please help! Thanks in advance ;)

What did I do to change this?

Did you change the "review" time the camera uses after each picture ?  The script is pretty simple and does not check that the camera is actually ready to shoot before issuing the shoot() command..

I think you might don't understand the idea of the script. It doesn't produce HDR image itself. It's only kind of bracketing script, which produces three or so images. Making HDR image is up to you... ;)

Actually,  I think he does.  But sometime the script doesn't produce the three images needed - I think for the reason I posted.

I think the question is related with this posting: http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=6241.msg87624#msg87624

And now when I come back to the HDR script, it always outputs three separate images of different exposure each time I shoot.

This is the right way to get a HDR image. CHDK provides only the necessary images as a bracketing (3 pictures with different exposure). These three images must be composed with appropriate software, e.g. Luminance HDR.

In general that's what I was thinking about while writing my response :)
