hi i am using an a630 1.00c allbest build 38, after two days of trying out the new features my camera lcd is now only normal when swung out from the body of the camera, when turned to the front or folded back into the body the image is upside down and mirrored ie all icons are backwards. this occurs with chdsk running or not. any ideas or do you think that my camera has coincidentaly developed this fault.

I have not checked on the A630, but at least on the A650 IS there is a "Reverse Disp." setting in the normal camera menus.  On the A650 IS that menu item is accessible by pressing the "Menu" button while in shooting mode.  It is not available in review mode.  Changing this setting may return your display to what you expect to see.

However, to get my A650 IS to closely match your description it would require that both the above setting be wrong and at least one of the switches which indicate LCD orientation to be giving the opposite signal than expected by the camera.

The A630 may have additional menu options controlling how the image on the LCD is oriented.
