ok so been searching for this now i know theres a file to down load for the canon sx1 is.. now ive been reading that if the file doesnt have the ps.fi2 file i can use it on my camera when searching i found that sx1 is users are using it so im confused... any help or direction would be greatly appreciated

The sx1 does not support the "firmware update" method of loading CHDK (there is no ps.fi2 file).

You need to format your SD card correctly and use the "SD Card Lock" method, which uses the DISKBOOT.BIN file instead.
