Yes, empty folder are absent in downloaded trunk zip-files. Wim works faster then me, but with identical solution.

LOL, this would definitely be the exception and not the rule ;)

Thanks guys!

Can someone post the Makefile you're using? I still get errors.
If not I'll wait for trunk 1774, perhaps it'll  be fixed there.

Hi dvip,

an easy way for trunk 1772 is:
1. open source code folder e.g with button "Source Code Folder" from CHDK-Shell
2. switch in 'CHDK' directory
3. create there a 'DATA' folder

Now compile again.

@dvip

1) If you still want to use 1772, then don't forget to remove the '/' after '$(topdir)' in /CHDK/Makefile (line 14)
    (see my post #639)
2) Latest version (1776 at the time of writing) compiles without errors for me

hope that helps,

CHDK-Shell can not apply the patch if it replaces the whole file.
For example, you can try to apply the patch from this link http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=650.msg83002#msg83002, chdk_dev_croatian.patch to the 1.0-release.

Is it a bug or something else?

@blackhole

Some patches are generated by other utils than standard GNU diff, e.g. svn-diff ...
If somebody supplies the necessary info (such as: which patch util and command line options to use)
I'm willing to try and add compatibility for it. I'm not, however, gonna do the required research myself, sorry.

wim

PS Also (from your link) why apply the dev patch to release ? I would assume 'dev' is for trunk, while
'stable' is meant for release ?

OK, thanks for the reply but identical patch created with CHDK-Shell does not work.
