Happens when I tick the box *Allow Internet (checks SVN)*. CHDKShell will otherwise run and compile as normal, just cannot check for new builds without crashing

@blackhole
@hwntw

Noticed this too. Error checking during scraping is rubbish, is being worked on.

Edit May 8: Actually it's worse ... they changed the page source structure, looks like another complete
rewrite of scraping routines.

CHDK-Shell-v346 (update version)

  • fixed:          Downloading from SVN for revisions > 4153 was not working, so parsing routines
                        needed fixing again. Sure hope assembla doesn't make a habit out of this.
  • Security:   VirusTotal gives 3/57 (false) alerts about CHDK-Shell-v346-sfx.exe, offenders
                        this time: Kingsoft, Comodo, and CAT-QuickHeal.
                           Checksums (FileAlyzer) are:
                           CHDK-Shell-v346-sfx.exe
                           CRC-32:   2DE57B74
                           MD5:      50FF4612415356A48EF99F69FE656366
                           SHA1:     2BD738260AE26409C65019C3F45ECC0A6D092AE0
                           CHDK-Shell_Updater.7z

Hi,

today I tried first time to work with CHDK shell,

I have 5 questions:

1.
Currently I want to create a custom build for my S110s only.
On the main screen of CHDK-shell there are many cameras which are all (lazy) loaded on starting CHDK shell.
(the loaded cams turn into a turquoise color)

Is there any way to show only S110 on this screen to speed up starting?

2.
I created a clone of trunk 4174 as working copy.
I selected my working copy.
But if I restart CHDK shell the original trunk is opened again, not the clone I selected most recently.
Then I have to use the 'Change' button to select my clone again.
Is there any option that CHDK shell opens my cloned trunk instead of the 'original' trunk?

3.
In the wiki for CHDK shell (http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/CHDK-Shell) there is a screenshot of 'Compile options'.
There one can disable e.g. the games.
If I open 'Compile options' I cannot find the options to disable the games.
(see attached image)
How can I disable unwanted CHDK features?

4.
I did a test compilation for my S110 103a.
Then I did the same compilation again, but agail all files are compiled again even I enabled the 'Batch mode' button.
Is there any way to speed up compilation an make CHDK shell compile only changed files?

5.
In the DOS box of the compilation progress I can see following message close to the end:

Quote
main.elf -> main.bin
<< Leaving ./loader/s110
dance -> DISKBOOT.BIN ver 9
**** Firmware creation completed successfully
-> CHDK-s110-103a-1.4.0-4174.zip

The system cannot find the specified file
The system cannot find the specified path

>> Cleaning in tools
>> Cleaning in tools/packfi2
>> Cleaning in tools/elf2flt

What do these two messages (The system cannot find...) mean?
Which file/path is missing?

Thanks for any help...

1. No.
2. No.
3. This is an old screenshot. Games are now modules.

Hi msl,

thanks!

Is there any way to not ZIP the files after compilation?

I have a FTP server running on my Transcend WiFi SD card.
After compilation I want to drag and drop the newly compiled diskboot.bin directly on filezilla to upload the diskboot.bin to my SD card.

But if CHDK shell always compresses all files I have to uncompress / unzip first - this is annoying.

So how to switch off zip?

Thanks!

There is a cool project for Transcend WiFi sd cards: http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=11262.msg110510#msg110510

Only the diskboot.bin? Possibly new modules are also required. The compiler environment creates the zip file and not CHDK shell. Check the Makefile.
