Awwww no Vista version :( (why won't it run on there?)
ADZ fires up VMWare...
But just to tell you one more time whim, I think you're awesome. REALLY awesome :) I don't get how you write the stuff you write, but it comes out really nicely. Where'd you learn all this anyways? I really look forward to using this trunk builder :P

it won't work on vista cause the gcc development kit doesn't - the shell would be able to support it

how I learned ? mostly by just trying stuff and hanging out at www.autoitscript.com/forum
I don't think AutoIt is any more difficult than PHP.

Here is CDK Compiler Shell version 1.35, a first attempt at branch support.
although it only supports juciphox branch ATM (statically, name/path hard coded),
I hope to add (dynamic) support for other branches soon.

it's here: chdk-shell-v135.zip - 1.01MB

It's here: chdk-shell-v136.zip - 1.01MB

bugreport: i can switch to my branch or other people's branches, however the shell doesnt show the list of cameras to compile for. i think it doesnt download the data properly from the trac system. will install autoit so maybe i can trace the errors as well :)
anyhow, keep up the good work :)

oh one small request: could you just rename the archive to reflect version numbers instead of the *.exe file? this way i can extract and overwrite my chdkshell.exe instead of extracting & renaming & moving it. or do you think it won't work with future builds, ini wise?

Hi wim,

many thx for the update of your wonderful tool !

I've tested the 1.36 (short) sucessfully, branch selection is working fine for me, the cameras are listed (from the makefile of the selected trunk/branch) well.

The only thing i'm something irritated is the numbering - always the latest (at the moment 430) number is created, e.g. the last dataghost branch is 402 but the download is named with 430.

I think thats because the ZIP file download link on trac has always the latest number (430), latest 402 dataghost is
"ttp://tools.assembla.com/chdk/changeset/430/branches/dataghost?old_path=%2F&format=zip"..

The "real" Rev number on trac i'll only see in the branches - list or in the Changeset...

well thats how subversion works unfortunately/luckily. ignore the rev number :)
i double checked it, i cant download juciphox build. it starts to download but immediately switches back to the explorer (the one i started the shell in). weird.

edit: meh i'm stupid. should wait for wget to finish ;) you shouldnt put it into background. without you cant really see the percentage of the file and when it is finished. sorry for making the fuss :D great app!

@fe50
@PhyrePhox

Very true, SVN branch versioning is - shall we say - less than perfect.
However, I got an idea to extract the required info.
Below is an extract from the page source of 'branches'
Quote
        <a class="dir" title="Browse Directory" href="/chdk/browser/branches/juciphox">juciphox</a>
      </td>
      <td class="size"></td>
      <td class="rev"><a title="View Revision Log" href="/chdk/log/branches/juciphox">424</a></td>

      <td class="age"><span title="06/18/08 07:30:51">1 week</span></td>
I currently use the line containing "Browse Directory" to extract the branch path, so I see no reason
why true version / age / release time/date couldn't be extracted, if need be ...
In other words - I'm working on it, together with multi-branch support  :D

thanks for the input

wim

P.S. phox, I'll see what i can do about the CL windows too ...

Starting two weeks ago, my CHDK GCC Shell tries to connect with tools.assembla.com and, after a while, an error appears, stating that the site seems to be unavailable. I've upgraded today to version 1.36 (was 1.33), but the problem is still there. I've even shutdown the firewall and the antivirus (they were no problem before) but to no avail. I'm stuck with trunk version 416. I can reach with my browser assembla.com and in tools.assembla.com I can see more recent versions, so it's not my ISP forbidding access to that domain. Any ideas? Thank you.
