Some friends hope there is something similar to CHDK for Nikon cameras.

Did a forum search using "nikon firmware hack"  but got nothing (only got "You may have meant to search for Niko firmware hack") so revised it but still got nothing.

Then using same keywords used Google and found

Also found "Nikon Hacker  Dedicated to the improvement of DSLRs"  http://nikonhacker.com/index.php

If anyone has  more recent information would be interested.
