I have IDA Pro v6.1 but the tutorial on http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/Loading_dump_to_IDA is on older version of IDA. Where can I find that old version of IDA. I am using the sx160 fw dump.

Also in IDA Pro v6.1 what should be the
ROM start address
ROM size
loading address
file offset
loading size

I am currently using
ROM start address                0xFF810000
ROM size                                0x003FFFFF
loading address                   0xFF810000
file offset                               0x00000000
loading size                         0x003FFFFF

You can use chdk-pt and disassemble.pl as an alternative to IDA.

For the older version of IDA (and maybe your version), loading size should be set to 0x003FFFFC to keep IDA 'happy'.

Can I use CHDK-PT to port sx160 using sx150 as reference. Also assembly is not my language and I am struck with it in IDA. Please help me out wise guys.

Its usually best to use a reference camera that was release at the same time as the camera you want to port.  The code will have more in common with your camera than one with a similar body or model number.

In the case of the sx160,  the only other camera released at the same time was the sx500 - which unfortunately does not have a CHDK port either. 

However,  there is an sx50hs port - it was released a month after the sx160 and uses the same DryOS release (thanks to nafraf for pointing that out ! ).  Porting thread is here :

The next best choices of references are probably these camera
 Canon PowerShot A810
 Canon PowerShot A1300
 Canon PowerShot A3400
 Canon PowerShot SX240
 Canon PowerShot SX260
 - released just before the sx160 and with ports available.   

The sx150 was released a whole year before the sx160.
