Can I use CHDK-PT to port sx160 using sx150 as reference.
Its usually best to use a reference camera that was release at the same time as the camera you want to port. The code will have more in common with your camera than one with a similar body or model number.
In the case of the sx160, the only other camera released at the same time was the sx500 - which unfortunately does not have a CHDK port either.
However, there is an sx50hs port - it was released a month after the sx160 and uses the same DryOS release (thanks to nafraf for pointing that out ! ). Porting thread is here :

The sx150 was released a whole year before the sx160.
