A610 firmware 1.00A , need D, E or F

Hey guys

I have a Canon A610 and unfortunately my firmware version is GM1.00A E18.
Can I update the firmware so it's compatible with CHDK.
Canon doesn't have an official update.

Please help..I really want this hack.

Unfortunately not.
Someone will have to port it to CHDK.
That is not as much work as porting a new camera.

Yes, now I read the whole thread.
One more thing...the rescue boot would be how they say in the thread "a rescue loader for "bricked" cameras."?
if so....I think we have solved the problem.

Try to update firmware with that...and hope I don't brick the damn thing.

I think they were talking about the Russian forum, not this particular update file.

I don't have any personal experience with this, so I don't know. "kallek" in that thread reported success.

Just make sure the batteries are not exhausted.
If the camera powers down down during firmware update it will be fatal.

I updated an A620 to 100f.
