The newly released powershot s110 has built in wifi support, and there is an android app which can connect to the camera and grab images stored on the memory card.
But that is it. I have talked to Canon support, and there are no remote control features over wifi whatsoever.
Canon really blew it here.

Remote control which allows realtime image, as well as focus, zoom and shutter would be both really cool and very useful features.

So, what do you think? Would it be feasible to do this with CHDK?

CHDK already has the necessary control of the camera. The only thing missing is access to the tcp/ip stack in the camera. But I guess even that will require quite some reverse engineering.

Sorry for replying to myself, but I got another idea for the s110 wifi:

Many people want better audio in video recording mode.

If CHDK could connect to a android using wifi, then the android microphone could be used to get better audio in video mode.
This could be made fairly easily. Simply record audio on the android app, and then when recording is done, sync it to the camera audio and reprocess the video file with the audio recording from the android. All done automatically over wifi of course.

For even better audio quality you could use an external microphone with android.
