Da bewegst du eher einen störischen Esel.  ;)

my googletranslate gives:

"As you move more störischen a donkey."

What is "störischen"?

On second thoughts, please don't answer that :-)

Please also forget the bit after the first "[" in my line above:

"on earth peace, good will toward men[apart from those in the NSA and some others]"

If I thought it was the square brackets had started this i'd start using () [or maybe {}]

I can re-open the poll if anyone thinks it'd be useful?

OK, I think I have figured it out :-

"It is easier to move a stubborn donkey"

A good days work, I shall now have my well-deserved gourmet dinner  .... no wurtz for me  :)

I will email you again .

How gracious ... The hero is back again. ::)

No time for publishing of a little bit source code but time for meaningless translations. ;)

David stated here he regards the code to be GPL. It is based on the work of others. I can't believe he doesn't speak the truth here in public.

Absolutely correct
I could comment further on that but frankly cannot be bothered.

As mentioned in the last email (that you did get) I previously sent the code twice and you say you did not receive it.

It is probably lurking on your system somewhere.

I will email you again .

David

Thanks a lot, I appreciate it very much. I sent you a mail with five other mail adresses too, so if you don't mind please CC it to these too. I can't imagine all my mail account fail. However I am very keen to have a look into the code! :-)

Why not post it here, as I found out some more people are interested in that!? Have a nice time and thanks! Martin...

Okay, thanks a lot, I got it.

I think gmail had been blocking the emails because the zip contained an exe (dancingbits.exe).

If you work out how it works, let me know, I have forgotten by now :)

Also, note the other item I mentioned in the last email.

After SDM 1.86 is released, many features will be removed  and a more minimal system designed.

'Power users' can use CHDK while I spend more time doing creative photography.

EDIT:

That code is still changing by the day and contains temporary debugging code.

I don't think anyone really cares.

My comment simply answered your question.  The parody of your unique method of punctuating written English was intended to be Tongue-in-cheek

Frequent forum poster SticK also uses unique punctation.

David, may I ask you to send me the rest of the source too, not only for the SX200IS? And sorry, I'd really like to know why you won't post it puplic, as you are doing it under G Public L? Sorry for asking, but all in all I won't tie my rig to something that is not supported by a community but only a single person, even if SDM would be better here or there. I think you wouldn't do that too...

Thanks!

I'd really like to know why you won't post it puplic

I have made it clear the completed code will be included with the SDM official release as it ALWAYS has been with previous versions.
I do not post 'nightly development builds', it is impractical and of little interest.
Just tonight, I have  finished adding new code and removing temporary debugging code, it is in a state of constant change.
As an individual I do not have the time-commitment that a team of enthusiastic developers have.
I thought all your cameras were SX200is ?

I do not recommend SDM for your application, multiple camera control via PTP is not supported.

I don't think anyone really cares.

Did you do a [secret] poll? in any case, your [current] offensive intent is clear.

The parody of your unique method of punctuating written English was intended to be Tongue-in-cheek

A parody can also be used to mock or trivialise http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parody

your unique method of punctuating written English

Certainly not http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bracket

Suggestion:

  • We leave comedy to the comedians
  • You leave language construct interpretation to the linguists
  • Let bygones be bygones and continue to communicate about cameras
