Hi All,

Continued from #134

Attached is a UpDated "Universal" version read/write matrix.

1/ Dual 1 of 8 decoder Logic states for 16 cameras.

2/ Exclusive Or Logic which dose the actual "USB Hacked-Hub" switching.

Here is a much simpler concept BUT Legacy Cameras are not supported

AND this relies on canon rom code, [only a small section] which has not been ported to CHDK.

It still requires the current CHDK USB remote code to all USB Hubs.

The bus attempts to use a unknown feature which canon calle "Control via HDMI".
Note that The "HDMI" part is not used or needed only the serial "Control" bus is used.
This is only active in play mode but should be up to 10,000 times faster than attempting to
"Control" via the current CHDK USB-remote.

Supported [modern camera] formats ate txt, bin, csv.

sounds good to me - except the part about the comedians ...

care to explain?

Edit:

On second thoughts, life's too short - please don't bother, you have rejected a candid attempt at reconciliation.

If you can agree not to reply [directly] to any further post of mine then I will [gladly] do the same.

It'll be a relief [for me] not to have to communicate with an individual prone to such overt offence.

I hope you too are relieved at the [hoped for] conclusion of this tedious episode [rhetorically speaking, of course]

If you ever mature then drop me a pm - there's always hope.

Goodbye [hopefully]

I thought all your cameras were SX200is ?
...
I do not recommend SDM for your application, multiple camera control via PTP is not supported.

Yes, I have SX200IS, but I had so many scripting-, PTP-, CHDK-, LUA-questions and got so many help from the forum here, very fast, that I wonder how people should help me with my problems with SDM if it is only me who has a current version which runs only on my cams?

Thanks H-H, I appreciate the further information.

The ""Control via HDMI" description also sounds exciting.

Do you mean the I2C code ?

There are lots of references to I2C and HDMI, what should I be looking for in the SX220hs 101bce firmware ?

Are the MOSFET half-bridge active pullup/pulldown just a wise precaution or a necessary addition for jitter-free switching ?

Do you have code that actually implements this?
Don't forget what the H stands for.
