hi there!
i need a little help-

unfortunately the smaller partition became a little small- so I would like to resize it to 5 mb or so, but I can not figure out how to do that (using sdm installer).
can anone give me a hint please?

Hi Tim

if you have access to a Mac, my SDMinst app lets you choose the size of the small partition. You just have to alter the value of the 'smallpsize' option in the sdminst.properties file before you run it (see the note on extra features at the bottom of the webpage).

if you are using the card for CHDK,  then the only thing that needs to be on the small partition is the diskboot.bin if you want to boot automatically or the ps.fi2 file if you want to use the firmware update method.   Unless those files have grown a lot (which I don't think they have) then you should not need more space on that partition for anything CHDK related.

You can use any of the partition resize programs available for windows or linux.   Most if the "bootable" linux distributions include this if you don't have linux and can't find a free windows program.

thanks a lot for the fast replies!
I found zenos sdminst-version ealier before, but had no time to check it on my macbook air-
i was at work and wanted to start some autumn-style-timelapse from my office-window- and it is quite late in the year already.
anyhow i figured out by reading in the german chdk-forum that the small parition needs no chdk-folder to boot-
so i managed to update my chdk-version and after that got the sevenup-timelapse-script working- hopefully..

greetz,
Tim
