I've tried the latest version, but the program still does the same, not showing a card and producing the same output to wickserr.txt
Can you include more debug info in wickslog.txt?

I think the problem might be with 64bit vs 32bit. My Windows XP is 32 bit and does not have a problem. I'm using VIDE as the IDE for building the DLL and it invokes gcc. Any idea what options I should set to make the dll 64-bit compatible?

I'll look at putting more debug info into WICKS, but that 'unsatisfied link' error clearly means that WICKS couldn't find the NInit entrypoint in assengine.dll (and it's definitely in there).

The only other possibility is that the search for the dll doesn't include the directory that WICKS is in. Do you get the same result if you type 'wicks' in a command window when the current directory is set to the one containing WICKS?

I tried copying all files to c:\ and starting from there, and i tried copying the dll to windows\system and the java\bin directory. I can't help you with tips or anything, i have no experience with java. :(

@casrap and waterwingz

If you run wicks.bat from within a command window (if Windows 7 has such a thing), do you see an error message when the app terminates? In particular, this one:

Error loading assengine library - java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no assengine in java.library.path

OK, that gives me something to go on. Will investigate.

It seems that the current version of WICKS (1.02) will not work if 64-bit Java is installed because the WICKS java component (running in 64-bit mode) then tries unsuccessfully to load a 32-bit DLL. I'm working on trying to build a 64-bit dll (on my 32-bit Windows XP system!).

I believe that the new version (1.03) now on the website WILL work on 64-bit Windows/Java. Please let me know if it doesn't (so far it's had a single tester)!

The new version detects my card, but thinks the card is protected; No Writeable cards present
