@gestatin, never mind  :D

@gestatin, never mind the never mind  :-[

I'll post compiled version later.
@lapser, could you test zebra?

I'll attach the compiled versions for you.

Zebra works fine for me without any patches. I think maybe the "random red pixels" he reported are the normal zebra indication?

I installed the new patch with trunk 2606, and it works for 100b and fixes the crash problem in high speed burst with dark frame AUTO.

OK, thanks.

Did you retain core/main.bin.dump as srsa_4c suggested? :)

Sorry guys, you're going to have to hold my hand through a firmware dump.  Not sure where to put the Universal Dumper on the card.  I just copied the Dumper script to a text file, renamed it Dump.  Inserted the card and navigated through the Script menu until I found the dump folder.  Executed, then go the following message:

*** STARTED ***
uBASIC:1 Unk Stmt
*** TERMINATED***
DUMP.TXT

What the correct way to copy a Script to the card?

Thanks!

Universal dumper is a Canon BASIC script - CHDK is not used.

Read more here :  http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/Canon_Basic/Scripts/Dumper

Especially the part at the top that says "read this first"

This is a Canon Basic script, it has nothing to do with CHDK.
Details are on this page: http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/Canon_Basic/Card_Setup#EOScard
Start the reading with the EOSCard section.
You'll need to
- mark the card as scriptable with EOSCard
- create script.req with the correct content
- copy the dumper script into extend.m
- start the camera in play mode and press SET
The card must not be locked!

If you don't succeed, don't worry, at least one main developer has that dump.

I think he means, never mind the never mind the never mind, whatever that means?

I sent a PM to yukia10 asking him to repost the firmware dump.

CHDK script files are all located on the SD card in the folder:

CHDK/SCRIPTS/

ubasic scripts all end with ".bas"
lua scripts all end with ".lua"

I do not know an appropriate file share site well.
So I uploaded the file to the same site.

Firmware dump of SX50HS 1.00c is available here:

It looks like a addressing issue with this build.....
@ralph :  all the funny punctuation and random colors in your posts looks very dramatic but they are not helping the CHDK developers at all.  Unemotional posts with specific detailed data on what you have tested would help a lot.  Otherwise,  it would be good if you would just disable CHDK and have fun with your new camera as it was delivered by Canon .. please!
