#1 >>>>>>>>>>>        sometimes i get Color coruptions in chdk ......
I'm not sure what that means.

#2 >>>>>>>>>>>        the Iso settings in chdk are way off
As we've said, CHDK ISO override is "real" ISO. The camera has a real ISO different from the Market ISO, so you need to take this into account when you set ISO.

a scritpt i run on ALL my cameras (hdrStack.bas) makes the sx50 act like its possessed.
This script tries to change exposure with: click("left"). This won't work on newer cameras. The "left" key switches focus mode on the SX50 and others. You need to find a newer HDR script.

And like the (Lightning.bas) i just fires off the camera nomatter what you set the threshold to.
I haven't used motion detect, so I'm not sure where the problem is. I wonder if it works on any other new cameras? Waterwingz is the MD expert. Maybe if you ask him in bold, red type, he'll look at it for you?  :haha

Firmware dump of SX50HS 1.00c is available here:
http://www.sendspace.com/file/gc174e
Thanks. I saved it in case it gets lost again. Isn't there a site with all the firmware dumps somewhere?

First thing to try is to adjust the "p" parameter as specified here : http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/Motion_Detection

On most recent cameras,  the LCD buffer that the MD detect code uses takes a few hundred milliseconds to settle down after each shot.

The "p" parameter lets you deal with that.

It should probably just be built into the MD functionality - something that does not let MD start if the screen is not "stable".   I'm working on that.

Well, this patch for 100b and 100c includes:
 *  the previous capt_seq.c patch to fix call to wait_until_remote_button_is_released
 * EXMEM_BUFFER_SIZE and EXMEM_HEAP_SKIP
 * Implementation of void *vid_get_viewport_fb() void *vid_get_viewport_live_fb() as done in g12.
Can this be submitted for the trunk? The first patch also fixed the call to capt_seq_hook_nr(), as I recall. It's been tested and fixes the dark frame subtraction crashes in 100b and 100c.

I've been running time lapses of several thousand pictures on the SX50 without any problems for the last few days. So do you think we can enable auto build too? It would make it easier for future testing and new people.

Hello radioman193,
What if you test with "Dark Frame Subtraction" to "OFF", as sugested by lapser here. In your video (0:55) it is AUTO.

Are you using the last version posted by lapser in the same post as sx50hs-100b-1.2.0-r2604_nafraf_patch.zip?

or maybe better if you use the version posted by lapser here: http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=8932.msg97355#msg97355
