Great shot, waterwingz.
I'm sure it will look even better if you process the chdk's DNG.
Any difference between the SX50HS's raw and chdk dng?

Great shot, waterwingz.
Sorry, got a little excited just playing with the zoom.

One of the things on my "todo" is to compare Canon RAW vs CHDK RAW/DNG for both my G10 and SX50.  Although frankly,  with the number of pix I take I'm never going to invest a lot of time trying to work RAW images so they look as good as the JPG the camera does all by itself ;)

Yep, it takes time.

You should try RawTherapee 4.0.10 (http://rawtherapee.com/) batch
processing. The new version has a nice raw noise reduction and
sharpening.

Posted a patch for the GUI colors tonight.  It should make the CHDK GUI a lot easier to read now!  Latest builds here >

link > sx50hs firmware 1.00B

link > sx50hs firmware 1.00C

SD Card Lock Method only for booting.

i'm so new my firs attempt with chdk and i get stock on on how to override shutter speed; I set it to "long exposure" set limit to 1:59:59 but in Manual mode limit is still 15 sec
any pointers will be apreciated

Update :  I'm thinking you have set the CHDK Tv override setting to 1:59:59 and wonder why the Canon manual setting only goes to 15 sec?   That is because CHDK does not change anything in the Canon UI.  Instead, it will take the override setting you selected in the CHDK menu and override the 15 sec value your camera wanted to use when the exposure starts.    When it all said and done with CHDK - you need to test with real images and look at the image and exif value to see what CHDK actually did.

Thanks waterwingz.
Most part looks better but some part becomes colorful on my sx50hs(1.00c).

Oh oh - looks like I put the color overrides somewhere that Canon was actually using while I was experimenting with getting the transparent settings right.   I'll can experiment with finding a better location  but maybe the one you originally had would be best ?

Were you able to test the USB remote sync function ?

Update :  the original location of the color patch into the palette is wrong too.  You probably didn't notice because the palette patch was not working.  Now that it is,  I'll need to find a better location.

The green of a battery indicator disappeared in the previous version (the above picture), so it was not the best.

I am not an experienced user and I do not know how to test the USB remote sync. Is there any good place to learn about it?
