scn-mode (portrait):
rec: true vid: false
mode: 256 nil

scn-mode (night snapshot):
rec: true vid: false
mode: 256 nil

If someone can give the the values of propcase 49 in these modes, I can add them to the modemap. Go to misc, debug, set debug display to props and props page to 4
Don't forget what the H stands for.

quick question... what's the mode map for?  is this still the EV topic?

fast EV is confirmed to work... only in AUTO and SCN modes though.  It doesn't work on Manual mode... but i think that was referenced in the manual somewhere it wasn't supposed to work??

the fact that each button on the SD750 does so many things makes it really difficult to use though ;)

the touch sensitive controls are are really bothersome when in ALT mode... it includes both the "sensing" which direction is being pushed along with the "roll-it-around-in-a-circle" which changes modes automatically.  If someone can get that disabled, it would give CHDK it's 1/2 screen estate back

well, we could enable that in the Manual mode, the way i see it in your small ixuses the Manual mode isnt really a manual mode - it *might* not work though, but we can do tests.

yes, the lack of buttons is really a limiting factor. the whole shortcut/button system of chdk has to be revamped alltogether.

I played around with the 1.01b build 565 last night on my SD750 and saw lots of improvements and updates since loading the previous version.
Scripts seemed to be working, RAW, zebra highlighting, the histogram, zoom in video, higher bit-rate video, I tried the bracketing in continuous mode and think it worked (not 100% certain). I also tried the high speed shutter override, it might have worked - I'll do some more testing this weekend and report.
The biggest problem was with the menus. As stated already the jog wheel menu keeps appearing and several times the entire menu would disappear (or everything but the top line would disappear). When it did disappear I could move the jog wheel to select a new line and the menu would re-appear.

Thank you all so much for the work to finish this version!

I was wondering... is there any feature/button in CHDK to turn off the LCD on a camera that doesn't have a viewfinder? (SD750).

I mean... is there any way to force the LCD to turn off, either just for battery savings while not taking pics... or for use during voice recording?  I know there's some button to keep the LCD ON, but I can't figure out howto turn it off manually.

Thanks.

Hi sylikc,
can you attach functions to the PRINT key on your SD750 ?

If yes -> attach "Display off" to the Print/Share key, then you can use a LONG press (~0.5-1s), it works also in scripts, very usefull e.g. for time lapse...
See SD870 / IXUS860 battery life for time lapse shots
