According to the CHDK Wiki: Using CHDK there is another bug for the Ixus 75:
In the Wiki the Button for displaying the main CHDK menu is "Menu".
The Ixus 75 Users must press the "DISP." Button.

holgi09, this has been fixed in build #641.  Also, the addition of Multipartition support and DNG via USB support is included (thanks to quietschi): Adding Multipartition Support for Ixus70 (SD-1000)

Hi,

The links given are very useful. I am able to load and use chdk successfully in my SD750 (1.01b) camera.
Where can I find the Lightning Fast Motion Detection script ?

Regards,
JK

So i am kinda new to all this CHDK stuff, where would i find a build for my firmware version 1.01B?

Hey guys!
I have couple questions again...:

1) Has someone solved the problem with the ON/OFF button??
(When I press ON/OFF to turn on my cam, it wont work.  Instead of going on "Record" mode (shoot photos), it goes "Play" mode (view pics).
Any way to fix this, so that when I press ON/OFF  the camera "spreads" the lens and so it goes "Record Mode" ??

2) I want to make the Canon resulting video AVI files  "lighter" (less Mbytes), but without loosing much quality.
Which level do you recommend to set the "Quality level" on the Video Mode menu??
(Canon's default video quality equivalent level is told to be 75 or so...)

Mkay...that's it  ;-)
Most importante issue I wanna "fix" now is the ON/OFF button...

Cheers!!

GAZZA

Gazza,

1) It's not really a "bug" per se.  It happens because of the autoloading as far as i can tell.  The camera detects a firmware update and starts in play mode to perform the update.

Now, there was an update to the G9 build recently that included a fix for it powering into REC mode.  You can see more of it here https://chdk.kernreaktor.org/mantis/view.php?id=145

I don't know if that's easily port-able to the SD750.  Reviewing http://tools.assembla.com/chdk/changeset?new=trunk@647&old=trunk@646 I can see that there is some short bit of assembly involved.  If you can find a coder to do it, I'm sure it isn't hard (for him/her).  All I see is 0x...

2) I'd say experiment until you get a size you like.  I don't really know what is optimal... has anyone tried values they like?

Ok, I'd like to make a list for the record of stuff that doesn't work

- Fast EV switching doesn't work in manual mode.

- Exposure bracketing is not working.

- OSD and menus are corrupted by the touch functions of the 4 way pad which can't be turned off.

- Only Halfshoot + Down does anything (Histogram display) nothing else works.

Please let me know if I'm doing something wrong or maybe add these to the bugtracker.

Only two entries in the bugtracker now.

"OSD disappears in Stitch Assist mode of SD750 1.02a"

and

"Tv bracketing +/- works incorrect"

peace.
