@gazza

1) press Alt -> script will pause

2) Script parameters -> Script Autostart : set to Off  (stops script running on startup)

Oki, will try to do that.
But..I thnk I already entered Script Menu and AutoStart was "off", I think
We'll see if the "ALT" press will pause the Script frmo running.
By now, all I can do is interrupt the script by pressing shutter.

I'll let you know if it worked by... 14.00 CET ;)

Thanks!

Oh...but...dont I need to shoot "in ALT mode" so that overrides or FastEV or whateva works??
Shall I use it by modifying whatever options I like and exiting ALT and then shoot?? :o

I though I had and...you're right; everything works fine when I exit ALT mode and shoot ;)
Bracketing in Continuous mode works perfect now!! ;)
Fast EV switch only works for me in the Auto Mode of the camera; in Manual mode...ISOs menu are "on top of" Fast EV and I cannot switch EV. ;)

Thanks for all the great effort!!
No I will try some of the scripts out there as it seems they should all work now!! ;)

Yes.
When you load the CHDK on startup, every setting you made in CHDK is active in shoot mode.
the <ALT> is in shoot mode only to start the scripts.

Guys...I have another question (maybe last one) ;)

As you know, Canon cameras record video in AVI format which is pretty heavy (MBs-wise) compared to MPG, but however has got an incredible quality (30fps, AVI format)

I'd like to know.., which value for "Video Quality" works good for you guys (84 seems to be the "default"), in which you still get "good quality" videos but...not so "heavy" (MBs-wise) ;) ???
I'd like to reduce MBs weight for my videos, but still have a nice quality... :)

Greets to all you guys! and thanks for the great effort!. This new CHDK works perfect!! ;)

I don't shoot video much and haven't really experimented with CHDK quality override, but from a purely theoretical point of view the optimal bitrate depends on what you shoot, and especially on the conditions you shoot in.

A scene with lots and lots of fine details and high contrast edges is harder to compress and requires a higher bitrate compared to a scene with not much detail.

When you shoot in dark, there's lots of noise. Noise doesn't compress well, which means that you need a high bitrate and even then the image will be crappy. On a sunny day you can compress more and still get great quality.

Motion does not affect MJPEG compression (which is what our cameras store inside the AVI container), because each frame is compressed independently. In this respect it's easier to handle compared to MPEG-4 used by many competitors (and some new Canon models).

Now the SD750 is in the official source tree, so the bug can be haunted...ok, i'll feed the CHDK BugTracker with it...done, issue #99.

Thanks for posting the bug report.  I've updated it with some test information, hopefully some dev can figure out what's going on.

Btw, I just posted an update to a Feature Request for doing the Half-shutter + (DPAD direction) as shortcuts to doing things.  In the manual at CHDK/End-Users-Guide-AllBest50 - CHDK Wiki it's already supposed to work, but on the SD750 the functions are a little reversed:

Manual: Half-shutter + LEFT  == toggle zebra
Manual: Half-shutter + UP  == toggle histogram
Manual: Half-shutter + RIGHT  == toggle OSD

SD750: Half-shutter + LEFT == nothing
SD750: Half-shutter + RIGHT == OSD
SD750: Half-shutter + DOWN == histogram cycle thru the 3 options
SD750: Half-shutter + UP == nothing

if we could make one of the keys turn off edge overlay that'd be great ;)

According to the CHDK Wiki: Using CHDK there is another bug for the Ixus 75:
In the Wiki the Button for displaying the main CHDK menu is "Menu".
The Ixus 75 Users must press the "DISP." Button.
