When entering numbers into a menu input box, the zoom lever changes the increment factor (10,100,1000, etc.). However, the sx260 (and sx30?) have a variable speed zoom. With my sx260, The increment factor changes from 1 to 1000 or higher very rapidly, making it hard to set.I discovered that it works properly if I press the zoom lever a small amount, and not all the way over. I didn't figure it out for months, though. So I think it's worth fixing. Would one of the gurus please look at this problem? It should be pretty easy to fix.I also noticed that instead of displaying the increment factor as a number at the top, the input cursor now moves left and right. This is much improved!
I have a suggestion that would make it even better for entering script parameters. That is, to add a default increment factor:--[[@title Time Lapse@param t = Interval (msec)@default t 5000 , 3--]]This says the default increment is 10^3, or 1000 msec. This way, you could enter the seconds by default, and add msec accuracy if needed. Since the increment would be optional, it wouldn't break any old scripts.
I'm working on this, in the meantime you can also use the shutter button half press and the Erase button to move the 'edit cursor'.
