The only way I can think of this working is to use a RAW app to change the Tonal Range and save the result as a DNG and then use this app without any changes and saving as a DNG but do not have any idea what software to use for this.
Should also add the reason for asking is my friend used a DSLR to shoot some indoor/outdoor images and the tonal range is too great to be converted to std JPG.
