Canon SX40 hs cutting out when using CHDK

Question, whilst using the CHDK on my Canon SX40 HS, I have frequently found that when doing exposures of +15 secs at a high ISO, that after it takes the shot and during it saving to the memory card, the camera cuts out totally and I have to reboot it. Am I doing something wrong in the settings?? I even done a reset of the Firmware but to no avail. This is not always the case, sometimes it works fine, so has anyone have any ideas??

FYI ... its usually best to report problems with a particular port to the porting thread for that camera.  In this case :

Reading through that thread,  it looks like there are still some stability issues with the sx40hs.
Ported :   A1200    SD940   G10    Powershot N    G16

More information would be helpful.
- Version of CHDK.
- Camera firmware version.
- Canon camera settings.
- CHDK settings.
- A ROMLOG.LOG dump after the crash (Miscellaneous Stuff --> Debug Parameters --> Save ROM crash log).
