I'm having an issue with video quality settings.
Usually at 1080p video recording shows bitrates at ~3kbps-4kbps.
When I try to adjust the video quality from 84 to 1, usually the bitrate shown onscreen doesn't change.
When I fiddle around randomly with settings for a while I can get it to show recording at ~1kbps.
However the resulting files show the same bitrate anyway.
I'm a newbie, so I may be setting something wrong?
But other CHDK features seem to work ok.
Are other people having this same issue with 1.02b?
I'm running S110 Version 1.02b beta.

The quality override has some issues but IIRC it worked reliably when using lower resolution (not 1080)

I can confirm that on 1.02b, video quality control does not work correctly with 1080p or 720p on my S110.
I have seen it report lower bitrates in some conditions, but file sizes remain the same.
It does work ok on 640x480.
Is anyone working on this?
All work on CHDK very much appreciated! :-)

Has anybody here been successful as to operate the S110 via WiFi to remotely take photos?
This could be an amazing feature currently lacking from this fine camera.

CHDK does not currently do anything with the wifi, although some reverse engineering has been done: http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=10724.0

Hello,

I have a Canon S110 that I'm using for AP on a quadcopter. I had an accident and as a result the USB port on the camera was damaged and I had to replace the board. I was using CHDK previously and it was working fine. After the board replacement, the firmware on the camera is 101d which is not supported (previous firmware was 102b).

I have made a dump of the firmware and the file is here . Any help in porting CHDK to this firmware would be appreciated.

For the S110 there is an official firmware 103a from Canon available. You can update the S110 with this version

Thanks for the reply. I found firmware 1.0.2.0 on the Canon support page. I didn't update yet as I'm not sure if this is the right firmware. 1.0.2.0 doesn't seem to relate to 103b  ;)

Can you confirm it's the right version?

My S110 has 1.0.3.0 but you right,  the download says 1.0.2.0
