I take NO offense. I have learned programming a little, and I can do scripting in the linux shell etc, but when it comes to actual programming languages I get a bit lost. I will just hunker down and play with it and try to learn uBasic from scratch. Thanks for the nudge and for your time.

Study what the existing scripts do until you understand how the program flow goes. Then figure out how to cut parts from the one into the other.
