i have chdk installed on my canon a460. it works fine, but i'm missing a full manual mode.

is there a script with these parameters:
- time (shutter speed)
- aperture
- iso
- white-balance

so the user could set these values, having a full-manual mode...

my camera itself has a pseudo-manual mode, where i can set white balance and iso, but NOT the time, aperture values...

thanks!

In fact all the things you need, beside white balance are available in CHDK without script. Just use the CHDK menu - overrides;)
if (2*b || !2*b) {
    cout<<question
}

Your camera has no iris diaphragm. You can not adjust the aperture. But you can swing in a ND filter.

All other things except white balance you can manually adjust via the first CHDK submenu. No script is needed.

The only question left, then, is:

How do you set the white balance in a script?

It would be useful when doing sunset time lapses to smoothly vary the white balance from day to night values. Has anyone done this?

Aside from going through the menus with key presses, we don't know how to set WB. There is a propcase which containes the WB settings but it appears to be read only, see http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=6765.msg72443#msg72443
Don't forget what the H stands for.
