I was debugging CHDK on a different camera of mine. I went to update my G12 to the latest version of CHDK. I downloaded the most recent zip and installed it on the SD card. My version is still coming up as 1.0.0-1853. I've completely cleared CHDK from the card and replaced the binaries.

On top of just the build info stating the version i'm not seeing some of the newer remote options. Anyone have any insight into this?

So you're running an old version...either you've downloaded an old package or not all of the files are replaced with the new ones, e.g. on a card with multi partiton layout...

-> download the full package from http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/Downloads
-> unzip all files & folders to the card's root using a card reader
-> on a multi partition setup copy the files to both partitions, also to the 1st / start partition !

-> read more about the USB remote feature in this wikia article: http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/USB_Remote

fe50 is correct in his analysis.    This just confirms it.   You are not seeing the newer remote options because you are running an old version of CHDK.

Update : I quoted fe50 as msl ... fixed it.
