Stereo Processing with CHDK?

Hello, all.

I'm new to using the CHDK however I find its capabilities to be very intriguing.

I was wondering if there is a way to use CHDK to control two cameras at the same time in order to take photos for stereo processing.  This would be extremely useful for a project I am currently working on, so if there if you know any information at all about this it would be incredibly helpful.

-Thanks

Yes. You can do this with the USB remote. You might also be interested in the SDM, which is a fork of CHDK with many features specifically designed for stereo shooting http://stereo.jpn.org/eng/sdm/index.htm
Don't forget what the H stands for.

It depends what you mean by 'the same time'.

You can just press both shutter buttons simultaneously.

For better synch use CHDK or SDM with a USB remote switch.

HOWEVER, use of cameras introduced in 2011 and later is generally not recommended as they are likely to have poor synch unless proved otherwise.
