Does this still happen? I can't replicate the issue while logged in.
update: I actually can replicate this, logged out and using chrome private browsing. Let me see if I can find what's wrong...

It's the attachments that are breaking the page parsing - why is good question. Replaced those with smaller versions.

Davo, what platform did you use to upload the images?

A noobie's worst nightmare - break the board.

I run Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit and uploaded via IE9 using the Attachments and other options feature. The jpegs were originally 16bit tiffs created by DeepSky Stacker which I exported in GIMP with jpeg quality of 85 to get below the 1.5mb limit.

The only clue I can offer is that I modified the problem post with the note in bold about the exposure time.

In future I will link to large off site images - I use Zoomit a lot for astro stuff. Let me know if you want me to try any test posts to see if we can replicate the problem.

I have replied twice to your pm asking where you want me to send the original images. I get a message saying that it was sent OK but it doesn't show in my Sent items.

Did they get thru OK?

Another clear night last night so I tried to capture Orion at maximum zoom. Attached is a 1:1 detail of the nebula. Not as detailed as http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orion_Nebula but I can make out some structure in the cloud. Pretty neat for a point and shoot.

This was 23x80s exposures at ISO 400 stacked in Deep Sky Stacker.

Those are really cool shots for a P&S. Now i'm interested in buying one. Please tell me, can you capture the milky way with it without using a tracker? I would love to know if it could, as I need a very cheap camera that can at least capture the milky way without using a tracker. I live near a dark-sky site and it would be awesome if I could get some shots if the milky way using only this A810.
