It might be useful to make the delete button into a temporary delete and add a menu option to empty the bin.  I have often too hastily deleted a picture that I later wished I had.

Other possible new features: delete all raws, delete all pictures before or after some date.  Delete all pictures of my girl friend (just kidding, but face detection might allow something like this.)

Someone who can create edge-overlay can probably do the above ... if time is available !
