D20 firmware dump

Here's a firmware dump from the D20 on Skydrive (16MB, 100b):

http://sdrv.ms/XuOKqZ

I'm hugely interested in getting CHDK ported to this camera; I'd definitely spend any time necessary testing builds, and if no developer plans to own and port to this model, I'll even crack it open and try it myself.  Only problem is I'm not a developer and haven't done any coding of any sort in over 10 years (excluding basic script modification), so any help, pointers to good tools, sample ports that would be similar, etc., would be terribly helpful, over and above what I've already read "Adding support for a new camera."

Also: anyone have any luck getting vers.req or ver.req working on the camera?

You might want to spend some time on the CHDK IRC channel.  Seems to be most active during the evening and weekends (USA time) but its hit or miss who will be there unfortunately.   Best to check in every so often and just ask for help.  Most of the users you see listed are zombies & bots but there probably five regulars there most nights at some point.

Ported :   A1200    SD940   G10    Powershot N    G16

This will be *very* difficult if you aren't reasonably proficient in C or don't have any assembler background.

My usual advice on cameras to refer to http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=9216.msg95155#msg95155
Don't forget what the H stands for.
