3. I read that I should enable DNG. Now, although I have enabled it, I dont find any DNG file in the camera card. I just see JPGs of pics I have clicked. Where am I wrong?
There are a couple of possibilities here.
1) Did you set the Save RAW option (first item in the RAW menu) as well as DNG format ?
2) You will not be able to see the DNG files over a USB cable from your PC. You need to remove the SD card from the camera and read it with an SD card reader on your PC.
3) Your camera may be storing the DNG files in a different directory than the JPG so when you look at the SD card on your PC you might have to find that directory. There is a menu option called "RAW File in Dir with JPEG" that disables saving in a seperate directory.
If you have RAW/DNG disabled, you will notice a pause of 1 to 3 seconds after you take each picture while CHDK stores the RAW/DNG file on your SD card. You can also enable the OSD to show you how many RAW files can be stored in the remaining space on your SD card.
