@waterwingz

It's had very little testing, but I've just added WASP to my website. It's a very simple Windows app that has just one function - it lets you switch the active partition on a dual partition card. I've tried to make it as simple and obvious as I can, but I'd appreciate a tester or two.

See http://www.zenoshrdlu.com/wasp/wasp.html

I'll take a look and find the appropriate places to insert into the wiki.

Did you think anymore about adding UI support to STICK for picking which of the four repositories it downloads from ?  Or even better, the ability to also load a CHDK zip file from your local harddrive?

STICK does let you order the repository search via the "order=" stick.properties entry (see towards the bottom of the webpage). I'll think about making this a UI option but I wanted to make the UI as simple as possible.

There is an undocumented feature in ASSIST that lets you specify camera and firmware (via the proprties file) and if a build is already present lets you skip the analyse and download steps and jump straight to preparing the card. I added it for someone who prepares lots of SDM cards for other people - guess I could add it to STICK too.

I looked in the properties file the other day and there is no default entry for this (or I couldn't find it) so there was nothing to edit.  Did I miss something or do you have to guess the syntax and create from scratch.

That would be great  ( except the undocumented part of course ) !!

The STICK webpage describes the syntax under "Extra Features". The line
   order=1234
(the default) means search stable CHDK, trunk CHDK, stable CHDK-DE then trunk CHDK-DE.
   order=42
would just search trunk CHDK-DE then trunk CHDK

What ? Read the documentation?

What I was thinking about above was that if the  "order=1234"  was in the properties file by default,  it would have been easy to guess what that did and just edit it on the spot.  No need to go hunting for actual documentation  ;)

I've updated STICK and added the order= line to the properties file as you suggested. I've also made it look for an already-downloaded build once a photo has been dropped. It will then let you skip the download step if you want and proceed directly to card preparation. This is useful if you want to prepare a new card for a camera you've already set up a card for.

Note that (a) it doesn't skip automatically - you might want to download the latest build rather than a possibly outdated copy and (b) it uses the order parameter to look for downloaded builds - in other words, if you've already downloaded a trunk CHDK build but order=13 then it will not tell you there's a build already downloaded, but if order=1234 then it will.

See http://www.zenoshrdlu.com/stick/stick.html to download STICK 1.05
